About Us

Jay Everett started Addison Planning Consultants Ltd as an independent and specialist business in 2013 and has established an extensive client base across the north of England ranging from residential and commercial developers, to investors and land owners.

Jay is a chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) with planning experience including 12 years in the public sector and 15 years in the private sector based in Leeds and Manchester. During that time Jay has developed working relationships with Councils across the northern regions including Lancashire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, together with a breadth of experience of dealing with complex planning issues in those areas.

His experience includes assessing the development potential of sites at the outset of the development process to provide commercially focused planning advice and guide clients on the planning risks and potential to enhance value through the planning system. Where projects progress to planning, Jays extensive experience is in the assembly and co-ordination of project teams as part of the preparation, submission and negotiation of major planning applications.

The projects with which Jay has been involved have required an extensive knowledge of the planning system, with a focus on managing applications through the development control system, acting as expert witness at appeals, and assessing the development potential of sites against current and emerging strategic and local planning policy.
