Victoria Mill, Sabden, Clitheroe

Skipton Properties Ltd

A former mill site with complex constraints including flood risk, heritage, ecology and trees. APC project managed the preparation of a full application to Ribble Valley Council to redevelop the site for 30 new homes. The process included extensive community consultation. Decision Planning Permission granted September 2018.

Meagill Rise, Otley

Yorkshire Housing and Strategic Team Group

APC project managed the delivery of a full planning permission for 75 dwellings including pre-application discussions with Leeds Council and undertaking a community consultation exercise.

Green Lane, Glusburn

Skipton Properties Ltd

APC acting for Skipton Properties Ltd project managed the delivery of a Reserved Matters planning application in 2016 and the discharge of all Conditions in 2017 to facilitate construction of 49 dwellings.

Townhouses, Hambleton Grove, Knaresborough

V&A Homes Ltd

A former factory site in Knaresborough, APC secured an outline Planning Permission for the landowners which established the principle of demolishing former employment premises and redevelopment for residential use. APC subsequently acted for V&A Homes who acquired the site to deliver a detailed Reserved Matters permission in October 2017. The project is now under construction.

Fieldhead Way, Laceby

Humberside Land Developers Ltd

Outline Planning Permission obtained in June 2018 for 155-unit residential scheme in Laceby, NE Lincs. The project comprised complex odour issues associated with a neighbouring pig farm. After an initial application was refused APC acted as expert witness at both a S73 Appeal and a Local Plan examination. A subsequent resubmission application was granted in June 2018.

Mixed Use Residential and Commercial Scheme – Pannal, Harrogate

Forward Investment LLP and Bellway Homes

A former factory site with a planning history of refused applications and dismissed appeals. APC promoted a mixed-use redevelopment proposal for 120 houses and serviced employment plots through the Council’s emerging Local Plan. An outline planning permission was subsequently obtained in 2014 which also established the principle of a new access across Green Belt land. APC role was to promote the site through planning policy and project manage a team of consultants to deliver an outline planning permission. APC subsequently acted for both Forward Investment LLP to obtain a Reserved Matters Permission for the commercial part of the scheme in November 2017 and assisted Bellway to deliver a Reserved Matters permission for the residential part of the scheme.

Dementia Care Home, Pannal

The Ryecroft Group Ltd

The Proposal: A detailed proposal for a 125-bed specialist dementia care home in Pannal, Harrogate. APC were instructed to project manage the planning application process, including community consultation, for a specialist care home in Harrogate. The proposal was for a detailed application – and required detailed discussions and co-ordination with the Council regarding design, impact on trees and landscaping. Planning permission was granted by the Council in February 2015. The project has been completed.

Ingfield Lane, Settle

Skipton Properties Ltd

Outline Planning Permission obtained in July 2018 for 150-unit residential scheme in Settle, North Yorkshire. The project comprised a strategic promotion of the site through the Council’s emerging Local Plan, and a complex planning application that dealt with significant environmental issues including an extremely sensitive landscape setting (adjacent to a National Park) and severe surface water drainage issues.

Flaxby Green Park, Harrogate

Forward Investment LLP

Outline Planning Permission obtained in Oct 2017 for a strategic business park in Harrogate – 580,000 sq. ft of office development on a 100-acre woodland site. The project comprised a strategic promotion through the Council’s emerging Local Plan and a major Environment Impact Assessment planning application.
